Twitter's Trust and Safety Council is no longer present in the short-word social media, and the company is looking for a different content moderation tool to replace its presence on the platform. This comes after three members of the esteemed council of professionals and experts resigned from their posts earlier this week, disapproving of Elon Musk's leadership.

Instead of a coalition of expert individuals in cases like harassment, human rights, child abuse, safety, and other principles, Twitter will get an automated content removal system to take charge of its content.

Twitter's Trust and Safety Council is Abolished, No Longer Functioning

Venturing to Twitter's Trust and Safety Council website will bring users to its version of an error message, saying that there is "Nothing to see here," and give people the image of a poodle sitting on a chair.

That is what people will get instead of a group of top professionals aiming to uphold the morals and values of the platform to push better content online.

According to ArsTechnica, this is the most recent change on social media, with the platform already seeing fewer safety measures in the absence of a council that will closely monitor its content.

The Musk-run Twitter still promises to bring content moderation and limit any form of hate speech and slurs online, also centering on introducing an in-app transparency feature for all.

The platform will not outright remove these posts despite violating the Community Guidelines, but alert the user that it is limited and give them a chance to explain their actions.

Trust and Safety Council Disapproves of Musk's Leadership

The former members of the social media's Trust and Safety Council released a statement regarding their disapproval of Chief Twit's leadership online, and many are already planning to leave the company. However, Twitter allegedly got ahead of this and disbanded the council before the members quit.

Twitter 2.0's Many Changes on the Platform

There are indeed massive changes to Twitter's platform in the past month since Elon Musk stepped in, and it received mixed reviews from the public, especially with the controversial revision of the social media that people knew.

One of the most significant modifications here is the way content will appear online, catering more to serving all sides of public opinion, despite tackling sensitive matters as long as it does not violate any laws

People are not that ecstatic about the changes that its present CEO is enforcing, despite it being the said "power to the people," where the public has more control and freedom on the platform.

Still, there are positive ones that benefit most users including its latest proposition to add more in its single tweet limit, one that is currently at 280, soon jumping to 4,000 characters

From the Blue verification feature to the polls that ask the public directly about implementing new rules and reinstating banned accounts, Twitter is drastically changing its experience for the world. And while this catches the attention of most Twitter users and fans, it still does not change the fact that there is less regulation in the short-word social media, with the absence of its Trust and Safety Council.
