It is time for another smartphone to join the Motorola family, as the upcoming Moto X40 has been spotted on China's 3C certification website. Although not officially confirmed, the specs were still revealed on the certification website showing its RAM, chips, and more.

Moto X40 Could Offer Up to 125W Fast Charging Support as Spotted on China's 3C Certification Website

According to the story by Giz China, industry sources and data from the website showed that the Motorola X40 is slated for a December 15 launch in the country and could offer up to 125W fast charging support.

Motorola is prepping to roll out the launch of its upcoming Moto X40 later this month. The rumor mill about the X40 has been around for a while, and recently, the handset was spotted on China's 3C certification website, spotted by MyFixGuide.

The 3C Listing Showed that the Device Used the Model Number XT2301-5 Showing a 68W and 125W Charger

The 3C listing with model number XT2301-5 showed two chargers that could support the device: a 68W charger with a 20V/3.4A output and model number MC-688N and the other a 125W gallium nitride (GaN) charger with an output of 20V/6.25A and model number MC-1258.

Lenovo's mobile phone business department General Manager Chen Jin revealed that the Moto X40 would feature an IP68 top dirt and water resistance rating. At the same time, a previous AnTuTu benchmark score leaked by certification website TENAA suggested that the device would be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU. 

Device Comes with a 4,600 mAh Battery with Two Different RAM and Storage Options

The device could also come with a 4,600mAh battery plus 8GB RAM+128GB storage and 12GB RAM+256GB storage configurations, as noted in an article by Gadgets360.

Furthermore, Lenovo's mobile phone business department's GM Chen Jin stated that the device would have IP68 dust and water resistance. Meanwhile, its benchmark score on AnTuTu is 13,12,901.

Motorola is Getting Ready to Introduce a New MyUI 5.0 Interface for the New Moto X40

As for the display, the report claims that the X40 will sport a hole-punch design for the selfie camera. Regarding the rear cameras, the device is expected to feature three in total. Motorola is also prepping to introduce a new MyUI 5.0 interface for the X40 at the upcoming launch.

Though the official specs have not been revealed yet, the 3C certification data for the Moto X40 give us a fair idea as to what the consumers can expect from the handset. Be sure to tune in on December 15 when Motorola officially reveals the Moto X40 and its features.
