'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2' Ranked Mode

As per the recent report by Game Rant, the details of the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" ranked mode has reportedly leaked, giving us a glimpse of what to expect once it rolls out.

The leak now claims that Infinity Ward is currently developing the much-requested ranked mode on its hit Call of Duty gaming title. So it looks like the long wait for "Modern Warfare" players is nearly over.

Game Rant notes that the players of the game have long been waiting for a proper ranked mode. It is worth noting that the current multiplayer mode lacks any matchmaking option that looks into the skills of the players.

With this, when some newbies enter the multiplayer match, they might find themselves having a hard time winning. Other players might have an unfair advantage over them due to the lack of a ranking system.

Given that, the community is clamoring for a full-on ranked mode. Once it is up, the multiplayer will have a skilled-based option.

Game Rant notes in its report that the ranked mode for "Modern Warfare 2" is not entirely based on rumors. In fact, Treyarch confirmed that the ranking system is coming to the first-shooter title.

This time, details of the highly-requested feature have leaked, suggesting that it is already under development.

'Modern Warfare 2' Ranked Mode Leak: Here's What to Expect

According to the latest news story by Comicbook.com, the leak says that the ranked mode might debut in early 2023. And now, it looks to be in the works as Infinity Ward appears to gear up for its much-awaited release.

The leak further disclosed what players could expect in the upcoming new gaming mode. The ranked option offers various tiers that go by the name "Skill Divisions."

To level up, players have to earn SR points, which will determine their tier in the new mode. It will reportedly be based on the performance of the "Modern Warfare 2" player in the multiplayer game.

So even if they brought home the bacon or lost the match, they could still gain their fair share of SR points.

On top of that, the leak revealed that the new ranked option provides a 4v4 mode. It should allow gamers to play in all the available maps in the shooter game.
