Microsoft says "Call of Duty" games are coming to PlayStation Plus as part of its proposed deal with Sony if its acquisition of Activision Blizzard pushes through.

And as such, PS Plus subscribers could soon get their hands on games like "Call of Duty: Warzone."

Exciting times indeed. But it would only happen if regulators give the Microsoft-Activision acquisition a green light.

Microsoft: 'Call of Duty' is Coming to PlayStation Plus Subscribers

As per the latest news story by IGN, Microsoft says that its proposed partnership with Sony includes bringing "Call of Duty" games to its subscription service.

So if the deal between the two gaming giants holds up, not only will PS5 players continue playing "Call of Duty" games, but PS Plus subscribers are also in for a treat.

The Redmond giant disclosed that it offered Sony a ten-year-long deal. This partnership ensures that the "Call of Duty" franchise stays on the PlayStation platform even when it takes over Activision.

It gave a shimmer of hope to PS5 gamers who assumed that the massive shooter franchise would end up being an Xbox exclusive.

And now, it turns out that the deal is more than just that. According to a recent report by Bloomberg, Microsoft is also offering the Japanese giant to sell the shooter titles to its subscription service, which competes with Xbox Game Pass.

The news outlet notes that Sony has yet to accept the offer from Microsoft. But the latter has already publicly announced it. But it did not mention that it also includes selling rights for PS Plus.

However, the source of Bloomberg says that the 10-year deal also covers the PS Plus subscription service.

So if the deal between the two behemoths pushes through, "Call of Duty" games are most likely heading to PS Plus.

Nintendo Accepts 10-Year-Deal with Microsoft

Unlike Sony, Nintendo has already accepted Microsoft's offer. The 10-year deal is officially bringing "Call of Duty" games to Nintendo gaming consoles for the first time.

However, the Redmond giant still has to wait. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has warned that it is suing the tech firm to block its Activision acquisition.

The Commission says that the purchase would "harm competition in high-performance gaming consoles and subscription services by denying or degrading rivals' access to its popular content."

Given that, Microsoft is reaching out to its rival gaming firms to offer "Call of Duty" titles for 10 years.
