Sprint just made an offer that caters particularly to T-Mobile customers. From the time of the announcement until April 9, T-Mobile customers can expect to receive at least $200 in credit simply by switching to the Sprint's network using their existing smartphone. Moreover, they can also qualify for the carrier's contract-buyout offer worth $350 per line that can be used to cover costs that are usually incurred when switching carriers.

Sprint wants to snag customers from T-Mobile by making a very tempting offer. In order to qualify for the $200 credit, customers would have to hand over their T-Mobile device and then get a new smartphone from Sprint by using the said credit. If they want to get more money from the carrier in order to pay for the phone's remaining balance to T-Mobile, they should register online and apply for a refund. Sprint will then award them with a prepaid or reward card.

Customers who owe $350 or less on their T-Mobile device are more than qualified to take advantage of Sprint's contract-buyout offer. However, customers who owe T-Mobile more than $350 would have to use their personal money and add it to the total payment needed. If no money is owed to T-Mobile, it is highly likely that the additional money will not be offered.

"Year after year Sprint continues to lead the way among all major U.S. carriers for its phone trade-in program because they make it easy and rewarding for their customers," said Kate Pearce, Compass Intelligence's director of mobility research and senior wireless consultant. "Their program allows the flexibility and financial benefit customers are looking for when they're thinking about upgrading to a new phone or switching carriers."

Sprint is a pioneer in the phone take-back program which it first launched back in 2001. In early 2010, it was the first to launch the program on taking back the devices from other carriers and pair it with an instant in-store credit. Apart from being known as the carrier that has the best buyback program, Sprint also made a mark in the Guinness World Record after having the highest number of recycled cell phones in just one week back in 2013. The number has even more than doubled the record that was previously set by AT&T.
