One of the most fascinating vehicles at the event is Icomo's unusual e-bike which can fold to the size of your suitcase. It's so portable that you can simply keep it under your desk.

Unlike other EV bikes, Icoma's portable electric bike is so portable that you can carry it everywhere.

Icoma, a popular Japanese company behind this Tatamel e-bike, has introduced a foldable bike that can fit in your compartment.

Surprisingly, Takuma Ogata and Takamitsu Ikoma, the founders of Icoma, have experience in creating toys in Japan. They previously worked at Takara Tomy, a famous company known for action figures such as Pokemon, Transformers, and other anime characters.

According to CNET, the Tatamel e-bike model is something that you won't see on the streets. It's so portable and convenient to use because it's lightweight and foldable.

Unlike other electric bikes that only have metal panels, you are free to choose to alter them. You have three choices including solar, metal, and wooden.

Icomo presented Tatamel on its stationary version, as well as on its foldable state. Fortunately, it appears that you can fool everybody into knowing that it's an actual desk with wheels.

Icoma Customization and its Features

The official website of Icoma says that the newest foldable e-bike features a headlight, main & face panel, suspension color, seat leather, 3DP rear fender, caster, and tire. These 3D-printed removable parts prove that Tatamel is fully customizable and you can experiment with your preferred design.

You can choose among Travel Star, Wooden Living, Grass Icon, Retro Speed, and of course, the Haute Couture Custom.

For its specifications, you can charge it for 3 hours at a power outlet. For its batteries, Icoma chooses to use lithium iron phosphate batteries for a longer life cycle.

Icoma says that its e-bike can run about 30 km. It's completely safe to use. It's environmentally friendly since it won't release harmful gasses into the air thanks to its all-electric setup.

According to the company, the Tatamel foldable electric bike will be launched in Japan this spring. It will be initially priced at $4,000.

Ogata is open to accepting international orders, but he has not given a particular date for this.

Rise of E-Bikes at CES 2023

According to Web Bike World, Tatamel is not the only e-bike that came out at CES 2023. Davinci is also debuting its first electric bike dubbed DC100.

The said model can be compared to the other motors made by Damon, a widely-known motorcycle brand.
