Some iPad users still do not know that their devices have a special feature that they barely use. It's not hidden, but many people have not yet discovered that it actually works.

The truth is, your iPad can do more than just stream your favorite shows or illustrate something out of your imagination. In reality, it can power up your other devices like a charger.

To check how this works, here's everything you need to know.

Did you know that you can power up your other devices through your iPad?

According to a report by Gadget Hacks, only a select number of models have support for this charging feature. As such, the USB-C port charging can only work for:

  • 6th-gen iPad mini
  • iPad Air (4th-gen or later)
  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro (3rd-gen or later)
  • 11-inch iPad Pro (1st-gen or later)

It's important that you have the correct type of cable to do this trick. For instance, you can power up your other iPad through a USB-C port if you use a USB-C male cable.

If you have an AirPods charging case or an iPhone, you can connect a USB-C male to the Lightning male cable. Likewise, you can link up the USB-C male to the US female adapter. The same thing works with connecting the USB male to the Lightning male cable.

For Apple Watch or AirPods Pro users, you don't have to worry if you have no Lightning cable. The simple solution for this is by attaching a USB-C male to the magnetic fast charger cable. Another option is by using the USB-c male to the USB female adapter or connecting the USB male to the magnetic charger.

This unnoticeable feature of your iPad works wonders with a typical Android phone. It's also useful if you want to charge your Amazon Kindle or a tablet.

That's not the only interesting thing you can learn from this. Through a Micro USB port, you can charge your devices by simply connecting the USB-C male to the Micro USB male cable.

For a Fitbit fan, you can pull off this trick by linking up a USB-C male to the USB female adapter. Just be mindful of your Fitbit model because the connectivity process might differ depending on the units.
