Gearbox Software has announced the third downloadable content (DLC) for "Gearbox: The Pre-Sequel," which features a new playable character, the baroness Aurelia Hammerlock, Sir Hammerlock's badass big sister.

During the Borderlands Behind the Scenes Panel at Gearbox's PAX South 2015 on Sunday, Gearbox announced that it will be making the Lady Hammerlock pack available on Tuesday, Jan. 27, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. All season pass holders will be able to download the new content for free, while everyone else will have to pay $9.99 to play Lady Hammerlock.

In Gearbox's press release, the game developer says Lady Hammerlock is the heir to the Hammerlock family fortune, but "when she's not riding her hoverbike through the endless hallways of her orbital turbomansion, she's out hunting the latest and greatest game in the galaxy.'

"Normally, Lady Hammerlock would never be seen within a light year of Pandora, but she's grown bored as her turbomansion grows cold, while her lust for violence grows hot," writes Marion Dreo of Gearbox. "She's headed to Elpis with nothing more than an expensive gun, an experimental Cryo diadem, and a powerful belief that shooting angry things in the face is a good deal of fun."

Gearbox created Lady Hammerlock with the intention of making Pandora's best sniper in mind. She has Cold as Ice as her action skill, which lets her throw out shards of frost that seeks out her enemies and deal them constant damage. In addition, Lady Hammerlock can turn other players into her servants, earning her points for their kills in addition to hers.

Gearbox also announced a fourth "Borderlands: the Pre-Sequel" DLC, which will give players a new perspective into the mind of Claptrap. Beyond that, however, Gearbox did not provide any details.

"We've been working really hard on a campaign DLC that lets you go inside the mind of Claptrap," Gearbox says.

Meanwhile, gamers can start looking forward to the next Borderlands game, as the developer has started recruiting for a new team that will work on the upcoming game.

Speaking at PAX South, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said the company will work on "the big one" once they finish hiring a new team of writers, developers, and other employees to work on the next Borderlands game. Among the job openings posted on the Gearbox website is for a head writer, whose responsibilities include directly overseeing the development of the plot and story for the upcoming title.

"The fact is we're not working on a new Borderlands game, but we want to," said Pitchford. "If you are in the industry and you think you can help us, we want you to help us. We want to get started on a new Borderlands game. There's literally nothing to tell, but we're ready to start."

Pitchford followed with a series of tweets calling for applications after the conference.
