Greninja will be the next 7-star raid boss to enter the Paldea after Charizard and Cinderace made a grand entrance a month ago.

The popular Water/Dark Pokemon from Kalos Region is arriving at "Pokemon Scarlet and Violet" on Friday, Jan. 27. It will be available until Sunday, Jan. 29.

Although GameFreak has not yet announced its movesets, some players have already speculated about its potential move pool.

As early as now, you can start planning to beat this ninja boss to have a head start ahead of the other gamers.

7-Star Greninja Tera Raid Would Be a Nightmare

Greninja is coming to "Pokemon Scarlet & Violet" as a Tera Raid boss so you better be prepared for the onslaught it will cause for 7-star raiders.

Greninja is a Water/Dark Pokemon as far as its dual typing is concerned. However, since terastalization is a new gimmick in the latest mainline Pokemon game, a Pokemon can change its original type once per match.

Water is weak to grass and electric attacks, while Dark cannot withstand Fighting, Fairy, and Bug moves. However, the Tera type of Greninja is Poison so that it would be tricky either way.

You can't counter it with a Grass Type since it can have a Poison STAB. Fighting won't work either because it's Tera Poison. Using a Psychic mon can be viable, but you need to be careful since it can hit you with a Dark-type move.

It's indeed a nightmare for players who want to defeat this 7-star raid boss since coming up with a correct plan is far from perfect.

Possible Moves, Nature, and Ability

According to Video Games, Greninja can be either Adamant or Modest depending on the movesets. There's a huge chance that its ability will be Protean although more players are hoping to see Battle Bond for an Ash-Greninja appearance.

Physical Attacker

  • Swords Dance
  • Gunk Shot
  • Night Slash
  • Brick Break
  • Liquidation

Special Attacker

  • Water Shuriken
  • Grass Knot
  • Dark Pulse
  • Extrasensory
  • Ice Beam

Greninja is built to inflict serious damage on its opponent, but its defense is mediocre. It excels most on its high-speed stat.

It's safe to assume that this bi-pedal frog will have five moves, just like what we saw on Cinderace and Charizard from previous raid fights.
