ARCADIA, FLORIDA - DECEMBER 15: Honeybees gather in a hive after they survived Hurricane Ian at Councell farms on December 15, 2022 in Arcadia, Florida. B. Keith Councell said he lost approximately 3,000 hives and untold numbers of bees to the storm

Entocycle has been around since 2016, but now they are on a mission to commercialize its products. With the new funding, the company plans to boost Entocycle Neo, its flagship product.

The Entocycle Neo

Enotocycle's flagship product is a hardware module that can be used in insect farms. It will allow insect farmers to monitor and gather data regarding the health and productivity of black soldier flies.

The Entocycle Neo uses optical sensors combined with a software solution that analyzes images and measures production accurately.

In addition, the company has also developed a fly cage that features built-in climate control. This will help companies in food industries to get started with black soldier fly larvae to secure their supply of proteins.

The Importance of Insect-Based Proteins

Switching to insect-based proteins will drive down soybean production and imports. This will also reduce deforestation.

This is because larvae are a low-carbon alternative that can be found and produced anywhere. With an insect farm, they could use larvae in their waste management cycle because black soldier flies intake food waste.

Insect-based proteins are also becoming increasingly popular due to their health benefits. Insects are a great source of protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids. Insects are also easier to digest than other proteins, making them a great choice for those with digestive issues. Furthermore, they have a low environmental impact compared to traditional sources of proteins. This means that insect-based proteins are a great choice for those looking for an alternative to traditional sources of proteins.

Insect-based proteins are also an excellent choice for those looking to reduce their carbon footprint. Insects require far fewer resources and energy than traditional sources of protein, making them a much more sustainable option. Additionally, they can be produced in small spaces with minimal environmental impact. This makes insect-based proteins ideal for anyone who wants to ensure that their food choices have as little environmental impact as possible.

Furthermore, insects contain high levels of micronutrients such as iron, zinc, and calcium, which are essential for human health but often lacking in other forms of protein sources like meat or fish. They're also rich in B vitamins which play an important role in metabolism and cell growth - something particularly beneficial when it comes to growing children or athletes needing extra nutrition from their diet!

Overall then, there is no doubt that insect-based proteins offer numerous benefits over traditional animal-based products - not least being better taste experiences due to the unique flavors associated with different types of edible bugs!
