Aaron Grinhaus, a Toronto-based lawyer, opened the first metaverse law firm in Canada back in January 2023. Instead of having a physical building, it thrives in a virtual setup that saves them more time in avoiding the snowstorm in the country.

The world of metaverse continues to expand, with several businesses joining the trend. From virtual stores to parks, people keep on exploring what it could offer to the public.

Toronto-based lawyer Aaron Grinhaus has opened the first Canadian law firm in the metaverse. How different is it from the usual law firms?

According to Global News, Grinhaus said that the new metaverse law firm is like a "cute little office" that has a park bench and foliage surrounding the area.

Even if there's a snowstorm in Toronto, Aaron and his associates can sit all day and not worry about the disaster. They can have an outside meeting in a virtual space.

The metaverse seems to be a contagious trend that is seen to become more influential in the future. According to Citigroup, by 2030, it would make at least $8 to $13 trillion in the market.

The prediction from Citigroup could mean that metaverse tools will be around the corner for many years to come. Following the success of Meta, Facebook's parent firm, it's still not guaranteed that other companies will savor the same fate as the social media giant.

For Grinhaus, the law firm covers almost all concerns of their clients such as cryptocurrencies, blockchain management, crypto mining, and more.

According to Aaron, the metaverse is all about interacting and transacting with other people inside an "internet-based environment." This means that it's like browsing a social media app that requires users to wear VR headsets for a more immersive experience.

"Most people have been engaged in the metaverse for years. And they didn't even know it," Grinhaus' law firm founder said.

How Grinhaus' Law Firm Operates

While it sounds easy on paper to manage a law firm on the metaverse, it still requires a set of strict policies to be more effective.

For instance, Aaron and his team will first verify their clients to see if they are eligible for legal advice. Once they confirm the identity of a person, they will now start discussing the matter with the customer.

While it's somehow online-based now, some law firms still apply hands-on treatment to their potential clients on a virtual setup.

Indeed, the power of the metaverse lies in serving people with the same product or service while saving them a lot of time traveling. It becomes more interactive than simply entering a video call room to understand the offer.
