February already started, and as much as it is "Love Month" and filled with the color Red, there is another event that takes place from the start of this month until the end of April called National Green Week. It is a holiday observed in the United States and what makes it unique is that it does not have a specific timeline to celebrate its festivities.
The main goal of National Green Week is to promote sustainability, particularly in schools and among the youth, to focus on a more sustainable future and promote the three R's.
National Green Week: When Is It Commemorated?

National Today said that the United States National Green Week starts this February and ends on April 30, and that is two months' worth of having a week-long event in one institution. From February to the end of April, schools may commemorate Green Week at any period, and it aims to spread awareness and instill care for the environment.
It also aims to imbue a lasting attitude toward the Earth's care, one that could teach and influence the youth in taking care of the planet and everything that comes with it.
National Green Week also aims to repurpose the famous three R's that is taught to students, focusing on the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle waste campaign.

What is Happening During the Green Week?
According to the Green Education Foundation, the goal is to give importance to creating a sustainable future among the youth, who will soon be the inheritors of the land in the coming generations. This yearly tradition may help in reminding them that taking care of the environment is a responsibility, not an obligation or chore.
There are several activities prepared by schools for Green Week, and they all center on teaching children to be environmentally cautious and sustainable.

The world should be looking into being environmentally aware, and everyone should be advocates for preserving or taking care of the natural resources that are still available in the world. Moreover, after using or sourcing from this, everyone should also learn to replace what they have taken to help replenish the planet and bring it back to its former glory.
Studies and developments are already looking into creating new opportunities for the world to heal and it is through sustainable developments or applications for different industries.

There is also one company that repurposed concrete blocks, and instead of contributing to carbon emissions, it collects and processes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to reduce its abundance.
Many startups and companies are already looking into creating sustainable innovations for the world to use, and there are significant and promising ones already available.
However, it should start even on a small scale, and it is possible to even for those who are only starting to learn or begin their life's journey here on the planet, with the National Green Week serving as a reminder to help make the world better.
