Model Elizabeth Pipko recently announced the launch of her new venture- the Lest People Forget project, a digital platform utilizing Web3 to encourage individuals from around the world to get involved in the preservation of the history of the Holocaust.

Pipko hopes that by incorporating this technology into the battle for better Holocaust knowledge and education, something not tried before, those from younger generations will be encouraged to take part.

"I am hoping that with the help of this project, those from younger generations will take it upon themselves to get involved, come together, and ultimately lead the way in the fight to preserve this history." she told the DailyMail.

Pipko, who in addition to being a model, is also a prominent activist for Jewish causes, launched the project in response to comments made recently by Ye (formerly Kanye) West.

In fact, there are two alternate domains (apart from LestPeopleForget.com) where the project can be found: EducateYe.com and EducateKanye.com

As the daughter of Jewish immigrants from the former Soviet Union, Pipko says that her parents always stressed to her to remember her background, "not simply as an individual in my family, but as a part of the Jewish people and Jewish faith," she says.

Pipko blames the current rise in antisemitism and Holocaust denial on a lack of education for young people. She recalls her grandfather, prominent artist, Marc Klionsky, reminding her to take the time to educate her friends about the horrors which took place during World War II.

"This project is not only an extension of everything my grandfather taught me, but also an opportunity to honor his memory by attempting to do what he always did so well - educate people on the history and suffering which under no circumstances can be forgotten."

Pipko hopes that this new project, which offers multiple ways for those interested to get involved, will help her to do just that.

With specific instructions explained on the website, everyone has the option to participate - for example, by submitting one's story, or by utilizing IPFS technology to preserve the materials shown.

Those familiar with the Ethereum Name Service will also recognize the option to contribute to the extension of the life of the LestPeopleForget.eth domain, ensuring that these materials can always be found.

Pipko says she is excited about the Lest People Forget project, not solely for the meaning behind it, but also for the chance to branch out into tech, and to introduce decentralized technology to those unfamiliar.

"There is so much out there that we can learn from and utilize when it comes to making our world a better place, always remember that," she says.
