Recent Geekbench scores reveal that iPhone 14 Pro is faster than the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphone. The latter has not yet been released in the market, yet early tests suggest that it's still slower compared to the latest Apple handset.

A new benchmark reveals that Samsung's Galaxy S23 model is slower than Apple's iPhone 14 Pro in terms of single-core performance.

In a previous report by Compare Dial, leaked information from the Geekbench 5 scores suggests that the Galaxy S23 Ultra remains slower than the iPhone 14 Pro at 21.02%.

The result for the single-core performance unveils that Apple's latest smartphone clocks at 5384. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, on the other hand, only hits a 1480 score.

While the early test suggests that Samsung's Ultra handset is slower, it comes close behind iPhone 14 Pro in multi-core performance. It manages to score 4584 while the latter achieves 5384, the highest score among 14 smartphone units.

Apple Has High Hopes For iPhone 15

According to a report by Macrumors on Wednesday, Feb. 8, the Cupertino tech giant remains hopeful that the upcoming iPhone 15 will continue to impress the fans with its performance.

The tech news outlet says that the iPhone maker is planning to add a faster A-series chip that relies on a 3-nanometer node from TSMC.

With that being said, the Apple supplier will improve the performance of the next-gen smartphone lineup by 10 to 15%. The best part about this is we won't compromise the power consumption of the device while getting the most out of it.

For Samsung fans who want to get the Galaxy S23 unit this 2023, you can now place your pre-orders as early as now. 

It is expected that this powerful handset will be launched next Friday, Feb. 17.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Lineup Prices 

According to Phone Arena, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will be priced at $1,199 for the 256GB variant. Meanwhile, the 512GB and 1TB variants will sit at $1,299 and $1,619, respectively.

Samsung Galaxy S23 + will be available in 256GB ($999) and 512GB ($1119) models. The cheapest unit in the lineup which is Galaxy S23 can be purchased for just $799 (128GB) and $859 (256GB).

For the pre-orders, you have a lot of choices of where to place them. You can go to Verizon and take advantage of the $920 discount for the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

AT&T and T-Mobile will give an $85% discount for those users who will trade an eligible device for a Galaxy S23 Ultra. You will need to sign up for the Magenta MAX plan to maximize this opportunity.

If there's one thing that Samsung fans would like to add to the upcoming lineup, it could be Satellite Connectivity which the company skips for S23. This feature is currently available on iPhone 14.
