MediaTek has unveiled its new Dimensity 7200 chipset to compete with Qualcomm in the mid-range segment. Boasting the second generation of TSMC's 4nm manufacturing process, ARMv9 cores, and higher clock speeds than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, this SoC is well-equipped to take on the competition.

According to the story by Giz China, MediaTek has unveiled its new Dimensity 7200 chipset -- its latest offering in the mid-range category. It is an impressive mid-range chip, boasting a 2nd gen TSMC 4nm manufacturing process, two ARM Cortex-A715 performance cores, six ARM Cortex-A510 efficiency cores, a quad-core ARM Mali G610 GPU, and an APU for better computational photography. 

The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 also has an impressive Imagiq 765 image signal processor (ISP) and a 14-bit HDR-ISP that can support cameras up to 200 megapixels, as also noted in an article by GSM Arena. This opens the door to mid-range phones with high-resolution cameras.
