David Smith, the developer of the famed Pedometer++, announced the latest version of the app and its latest available features to the world, centering on an improved version that transcends more than an Apple Watch app. 

The Pedometer++ 5 is inspired by Smith's trip up to the mountains, and this led him to develop a new "rich map" feature for the app that would integrate into the Apple Watch for better hiking navigation. 

While other map apps are available to the smartwatch, Smith said that it felt awkward to use, something which he wants to address with the latest version, one that would feel natural, especially for someone like him who has his way of climbing.

Moreover, Pedometer++ version 5 extends its workout or activity tracking feature to the iPhone, to stand alone in that department without the need for the Apple wearable.

Apple Watch, iPhone to Get Pedometer++ Treatment

Pedometer++ is available on the Apple App Store now, and version 5 is now love to bring the iPhones and Apple Watches the latest feature and get the app's treatment. 

Smith used SwiftUI to redesign its look, now also featuring the Dynamic Treatment which corresponds well with the latest iPhone 14.

The step counter for the iPhone is also available, as well as better maps for the Apple Watch, and route management for the smartphone.

Workout Apps and Services available on Apple

There are significant workout and fitness apps or services available on Apple and it helps explore more of the many activities present for iPhone users to enjoy. One of the most famous here is the Fitness app and Fitness+ services which offers a subscription-based package that features video workout routines and health tracking.
