Ryan Pineda, a YouTuber who once expressed his regret in buying a Tesla car, has now purchased a brand-new Tesla Model Y.

Just recently, he bought a Rivian R1S EV, but it did not last long from him. After a month, he finally sold it to get a new Tesla electric SUV.

YouTuber Ryan Pineda decided to sell his month-old Rivian R1S so he could buy a new Tesla Model Y and earn a profit from it.

Ryan Pineda's YouTube channel is all about business. He usually talks about investment and finance. He's also the famous author of his top-selling book dubbed "Flip Your Future" where he will teach the readers how to build a 7-figure business.

For those unfamiliar with him, he used to play pro baseball before he became a full-time influencer and content creator.

According to Inside EVs, Pineda reportedly sold this previous Rivian electric SUV after just one month of use. While his previous videos are all about lambasting Tesla for having a weak build quality.

"Nobody can compete with Tesla's tech. The ability for this car to drive itself and do what it does is insane. But their build quality, I can see it now, it's definitely not there," Pineda said at that time.

What Pineda did to his one-month old Rivian car is to flip its price and buy a brand-new model. He thought that it was overvalued that's why he attempted to pick a Model Y at a discounted price.

The YouTuber bought the Rivian R1S for $78,000 with $7,500 US federal EV tax credit. The Rivian SUV is almost everywhere, but you can usually notice that it's available for more than $100,000 in the market.

Although he knew that it was not the best idea to sell it, he was surprised to know that he could earn a profit from selling it and buying a much cheaper electric car.

At that time, Pineda timed well and obtained a discounted Model Y for just $85,000.

That's not the only thing he got from this deal since he also got free access to Full Self-Driving Beta Capability using his cousin's account. It turns out that his cousin works on Tesla.

Although the Tesla Model Y seems smaller, Pineda is now happier for this win-win deal. The bulkier R1S is hard to let go, but it won't satisfy him in the long run because of its size.

What Amazed Him About Tesla Model Y

Two years ago, he shared his experience in driving the Tesla Model X which at that time had not yet fully established its FSD feature.

When he got the new Model Y this year, he tested that the Autopilot was working well. He also highlighted that the newly-bought car has an impressive mileage for its size.

Additionally, he admired how the colors of the Model Y changed when exposed to the sun. At first, it appeared to be teal blue, but when he walked around it, it just completely changed to purple, green, or blue.

As Tesla dropped the prices for the Model S and X in the US for the past week, the automaker is now preparing to release an upgrade for the Model Y.

According to Motor Biscuit, this particular SUV model will get a nice lift thanks to the company's futuristic technological innovations.
