OpenAI finally introduced its GPT-4, a new artificial intelligence model claimed to be better than the original ChatGPT.

On Tuesday, Mar. 14, the U.S.-based AI research company said that the new GPT-4 has a human-level performance. OpenAI added that the new ChatGPT-4 is a larger artificial intelligence model than its predecessors.
CNET reported that the new GPT-4 showed its capability on a simulated bar exam; beating 90% of the human participants. But, is GPT-4 really better than the ChatGPT chatbot?
ChatGPT Vs. GPT-4: What's Their Difference?

OpenAI, whose online chatbot ChatGPT made waves when it was debuted in December, announced this week that a commercial version of the service, called ChatGPT Plus.

This means that it is an artificial intelligence that can respond to both images and texts. On the other hand, ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot, meaning it can only respond to the texts you type in it.
In comparison, the new GPT-4 has the upper hand. For example, if you want ChatGPT to provide you with a meal recipe based on the ingredients you have on your refrigerator, you need to list all of them.
But, you no longer need to do this when using the new GPT-4. Instead, you can send a picture of your refrigerator's content and ask it for the best meal you can do with these remaining ingredients.
"GPT-4 is now the standard by which all foundation models will be evaluated," said Allen Institute for AI's founding CEO, Oren Etzioni.
Five Advantages of GPT-4
TechCrunch provided the five advantages of OpenAI's new GPT-4 over the original ChatGPT chatbot.
- Unlike ChatGPT, the new GPT-4 has more strict guardrails. This means that users can't easily jailbreak the new artificial intelligence model.
- The new GPT-4 can see and understand images, allowing you to find relevant information easier and quicker.
- When it comes to language, the new GPT-4 is considered to be more multilingual than ChatGPT; having high accuracy across 26 languages, such as Korean and Ukrainian.
- The new GPT-4 has better steerability. This means that it has better personalities than ChatGPT.
- OpenAI's GPT-4 has a longer memory than its predecessor.
