In the modern workplace and to ensure that the working environment is sustainable, companies have to work on maintaining their workers' physical and mental health. One way to do this is to create a wellness program or adopt activities that employees can enjoy that motivate them to take better care of themselves.

Employers: Offering Employees Interactive Activities and Mental Health Resources for Security and Improved Performance

According to the story by National Today, employers can also consider delaying payments for employee salaries by a few days and instead can offer employees interactive activities, opportunities to try out new skills, and access to mental health and wellness resources.

This creates a sense of security in the workplace and allows employees to feel safe while giving their best performance. Employers should also train their workers to be up to speed with new trends, motivating them to stay longer in their roles.

Significance of the Equal Pay Act of 1963 in Achieving Gender Equality in the Workplace

Since 1935, much progress has been made in corporate responsibility and employee rights, as the National Labor Relations Board explained. As of press time, the global focus is on safeguarding human rights and the importance of corporate social responsibility.

This timeline highlights some of the most significant developments in social sustainability over the past 80 years. In 1935, the National Labor Relations Act created rights for many employees, particularly in the United States.

It ensured workers the right to form unions and bargain collectively to secure fair wages and working conditions. This was the first step towards recognizing and protecting workers' rights in the workplace.

Fast-forward to 1938, a law was introduced to prevent child labor, a major issue (especially in factories) in many parts of the world. This law aimed to promote the employment of adults and keep children out of the workforce, allowing them to receive an education and enjoy their childhood instead.

The Equal Pay Act was introduced in 1963, an important milestone toward gender equality in the workplace. This law forbids employers from discriminating between men and women, helping to reduce the gender pay gap some employers have applied to both current and new employees.

Finally, 2003 saw the formation of the Center for Companies That Care (CCTC) in the United States. This organization is devoted to helping companies become socially responsible employers.
