The pre-order page for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo by a Belgium retailer has apparently been set up, suggesting that the Korean company may soon launch the handset.

The much-awaited Galaxy Note 3 was launched at the IFA event in September 2013. The phablet is one of the most popular devices in the smartphone arena and Samsung managed to sell 5 million units within the first month of its launch. However, the price of the Galaxy Note continue to deter many potential buyers who are looking for cheaper alternatives.

According to a SamMobile report, Samsung may soon launch a cheaper version of the Galaxy Note 3, dubbed the Neo, which may attract more smartphone buyers looking for an affordable phablet.

"A tip sent to us in our inbox by someone working at a Belgian retailer has revealed that the phone's pre-order page is set to go up soon (not viewable for customers just yet), who also managed to get us a few press shots. The pre-order price is rather high at €599, though it's still quite a bit less than the Galaxy Note 3′s launch price in Europe, and we're sure it will go down further in a few weeks after launch," reports SamMobile.

The SamMobile tipster did not reveal any hardware specifications of the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 Neo; however, the rumored handset is expected to sport a 5.55-inch 720p Super AMOLED display. A new Exynos chipset with a hexa-core CPU is expected to power the device.

The smartphone may also include an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage and a microSD slot. The Neo is also said to be equipped with a 3,100 mAh battery and will support LTE connectivity. The handset may come pre-loaded with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.

Just like the original Galaxy Note 3, the Neo is also said to include the S Pen and will likely tout features such as Air Command Action Memo, Screen Write, Scrapbook, S Note, S Finder, Pen Window, Multi Window, new Easy Clip and Direct Pen Input.

Samsung may showcase the handset at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in Barcelona in February this year. Rumors also suggest that the Neo may be launched in various markets by the end of March this year.

MWC is one of the biggest technology events of the year and it should not come as a surprise if Samsung reveals the Galaxy Note 3 Neo at the upcoming event.
