Without any doubt, ChatGPT has instantly become an instant celebrity following its launch last November 2022. The popular AI chatbot did not only reach the tech and healthcare sectors, but also it became widely-known among work professionals.

The latest survey suggests that more employees are using ChatGPT to finish their work-related tasks in the office.

Recent survey says that more professionals are relying on ChatGPT to finish their tasks in the office.

The easy-access conversational AI is quickly taking the world by the storm following the wide range of its capabilities.

As more people become well-versed in using this chatbot, some of them are discovering that it's not only limited to simple personal queries, scientific problems, and more.

Fishbowl, a platform for professional networking, says that about 43% of 11,793 participants who answered the survey admitted that ChatGPT is a key tool to finish their tasks during work hours.

Compared to the January Fishbowl survey which only showed that 27% of respondents are using the AI app for office tasks, the March survey results appear to have increased by nearly 50%.

Some Professionals Use ChatGPT Without Employer's Knowledge

Livemint reports that in the same study from Fishbowl, about 32% of the participants who answered the survey said that their bosses are aware about their ChatGPT usage.

Roughly 68% of the respondents confessed that they do not inform their bosses that they use the AI chatbot for work-related tasks.

Fishbowl says that the participants of the survey came from notable tech giants in the world such as Google, Amazon, Nike, Meta, JP Morgan, IBM, Twitter, and more.

Some Employees Felt Comfortable Discussing ChatGPT Usage With Peers

Another interesting information about the survey is that some professionals are happy sharing their experience in using ChatGPT to their co-workers.

Fishbowl learned that since January, there was a 107% increase in the visibility of the chatbot in comments and posts.

"Popular topics of discussion include using the chatbot for resumes/cover letters, copywriting, coding, and drafting sales and marketing emails," Fishbowl writes.

While some companies approve the use of ChatGPT, the reception for the tool seems to be mixed. As Bloomberg reports, nearly half of the firms are currently making policies on its adoption or ban.
