Twitter and Elon Musk revealed the latest plans for its "For You" tab on the social media platform, as it would only display blue checkmark verified accounts available on this experience. The tech CEO claimed that it would take effectivity this April 15, and despite having massive fame or status on the platform, if they are not verified, they would not appear here.
"For You" on Twitter centers on the suggestions of the tweets or people the app generated for the user, as part of their search data, engagements, likes, and other information as to their preferences.

In a tweet by Mr. Tweet, Twitter's "For You" tab will only display the tweets and retweets from verified accounts, meaning that users without verification, despite their fame and significance online, will no longer be available on this page.
The update to the For You will take place on April 15, and starting in a few weeks, the suggested content found on this page would only display those who have availed of Twitter's subscription.
Musk claims that this is to stop the AI bots which swarm the platform and bring information that brings different kinds of information.
Additionally, Twitter's new For You would also require verified accounts to answer polls from co-verified users, to avoid any spam voting that may contribute to fake news.

Why are Elon Musk and Twitter Changing the 'For You' Tab?
Chief Twit said that "The is the only realistic way to address advanced AI bot swarms taking over," and this is the company's move towards combating spam accounts from spreading unverified information online.
Many users complained about this, also expressing that they are not agreeing with this decision. They further claimed that there are more ways in stopping AI bots in the platform and not through the For You.
However, Musk claimed that Twitter will be the "only platform you can trust," in correspondence to the new For You for verified accounts.
Twitter 2.0: What Changed on the Platform?
One of the most significant changes on Twitter under Elon Musk is the Blue Checkmark Verification which requires users to pay for the service, along with other features or experiences on the app. This is the new Twitter 2.0, which centers mostly on Twitter Blue to bring the latest features and premium experience of the platform to its users.
The company is not holding back from its changes on the platform, as the "Legacy" checkmark verification of users are also required to pay for the service, despite them enjoying it without fees before.
Other features like the Edit Tweet button, Long-form Tweets, additional information on their verification known as Labels, and more features are under Blue.
At this point, it seems like most of Twitter 2.0's features will be under the verification and subscription under Blue, including a recently-introduced feature of having a separate "Following" and "For You" tab. The "For You" tab may be a new addition to Twitter, but it is already getting a major revamp come next month, now exclusive to showcasing verified accounts only.
