As Mercedes-Maybach prepares to release their premium luxury SUV in April, the Maybach EQS 680 and its production model have been teased. This will be the first electric vehicle from its ultra-luxury Maybach brand.

After 100 years of brand history, it’s time for a new beginning: the Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS is the first of its kind, and it’s defining the future of sophisticated luxury.
Teasing Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680
Mercedes-Benz's ultra-luxury sub-brand Maybach teased its consumers with a simple photo of the new vehicle covered in a sheet. According to a report from Teslarati, the first zero-emission electric SUV will be launched on April 17th at Auto Shanghai in China.
Since the company revealed the concept version of the vehicle in 2021, there has been only limited information regarding the upcoming Maybach EQS 680. Just by the teasers, it was already one of the most futuristic EQS vehicles that the brand will offer once the vehicle will be released.
Aside from the Auto Shanghai event in China, the company will also reveal the series production model digitally on Mercedes-Benz or Maybach's website, and its official YuTube channel, Twitter profiles, and LinkedIn accounts.
Key Specifications
As the automaker ramps up its near-production, Mercedes released the photo just in time for its April release. Compared to the previous offerings of the company, Maybach EQS 680 is expected to be more powerful than the 580 4MATIC SUV, with 536 hp and 633lb-ft of torque.
Additionally, it's powered by a 108.4 kWh battery that gives up to 285 miles of range, an athletic 536 horsepower that will leap the SUV to 60 in under 5 seconds, and 633 pound-feet of torque. Motor1 reported that the vehicle also charges with DC fast charging from 0% to 80% only in half an hour. The United States' EPA rates its previous vehicle as providing features and specifications.
For its internal parts, the electric SUV is expected to include upgraded amenities like luxurious upholstery and a customizable experience considering Maybach is a luxury brand. Launching the vehicle is part of Mercedes' efforts to electrify its extensive lineup in the whole world.
By looking at the timeline, consumers will obtain details on what to expect and other features of the SUV. Potentially, full details of Maybach EQS 680 will be around sooner or later than April.

Improving EV Transition
The strategy will include its luxury and performance brand offerings from Maybach and AMG. When these models hit the market soon, they can further help the EV transition of the company in every market, and price point.
Similar to the Mercedes EQS SUV, Electek reported that Maybach's first electric vehicle is also expected to include the latest technology and design with features that have intuitive touch interfaces and remains user-friendly.
Despite the similarities, the company's interior and features will truly shine in the market. Mercedes will cram Maybach with new materials and every bit of technology and will be providing two seats likely for the second row to maximize effort.
