As anticipation for the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters continues to build, fans worldwide eagerly await the official release date from Square Enix. Fortunately, some progress has been made recently with the announcement that Square Enix will start taking payments for the 35th Anniversary Edition from the 5th of April in certain regions. 

Anticipation Builds for Long-Awaited Final Fantasy Collection 

According to the story by Nintendo Life, while a possible date of May 31st has been tentatively proposed, Square Enix is still unwilling to make an official announcement.

With the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters due to launch in spring 2023, anticipation is building for the long-awaited collection of classic Final Fantasy titles. 

Square Enix Taking Pre-Orders and Payments in Select Regions 

Pre-orders are already being accepted, and Square Enix is beginning to take payments in some regions from as early as 31st March or 5th April (region dependent), as also noted in an article by Push Square. 

However, while the date for the physical release is tentatively scheduled for 31st May, Square Enix has yet to reveal the exact date for when the beloved adventure series will arrive. 

Missing Out on Restocks of Standard and Collector's Editions of Final Fantasy Games 

Digital versions of Final Fantasy I, II, III (from the NES), IV, V, and VI (from the SNES) have yet to appear on digital storefronts, leaving many eager fans eager to discover when they'll be able to get their hands on their favorite games once again. 

Although there have been some restocks of the Standard and Collector's Editions since they became available, those weren't announced in advance, leaving many fans missing out. 

A Moment of Anticipation: Anxious Waiting for Square Enix's Official Release Date Announcement 

The journey to the launch of the Pixel Remaster has been strange, with Square Enix keeping a tight lid on the mystery surrounding the release date. However, as time passes, official announcements must be imminent. 

With each passing day, the anticipation and excitement are undeniable, so it was only a matter of time before Square Enix finally broke their silence on the launch. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait longer to find out when our favorite titles will return to our screens.

But for the lucky few that scored a pre-order for this rare and exclusive collection, keep an eye on your email inbox as the official date must surely be drawing close. It's clear that Square Enix is trying to keep their fans on their toes, although we may finally get the answers we are so desperately seeking soon. 

In the meantime, all eyes will be on the Final Fantasy subreddit and the ResetEra forum in hopes of hearing any news regarding the official release date. After all, one can never be too careful when a game as popular and as much anticipated as Final Fantasy is involved.
