TruthGPT is one of the most-awaited AI models in the tech industry... because it is being developed by none other than Elon Musk.

He confirmed this effort during his "Tucker Carlson Tonight" interview, which went viral on Twitter and other social media platforms. 

Recently, Musk said that artificial intelligence models should be regulated. The billionaire explained that FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulates all the things that U.S. residents consume. 

Elon added that since users also consume AI models, they should have regulators, as reported by CBS News

TruthGPT: Elon Musk's Upcoming AI  

Since Elon Musk said that the existing AI models are dangerous, he decided to work on new artificial intelligence that is safer than ChatGPT and other AI techs.

He confirmed that he plans to start a new AI initiative called TruthGPT. The billionaire claimed that this new artificial intelligence would be an AI model that mainly focuses on seeking the truth. 

Musk further stated that his TruthGPT would be trained to understand the nature of the universe, as reported by CNBC

As of writing, Elon hasn't confirmed if TruthGPT is already being developed or if his new AI already exists.   

TruthGPT vs. ChatGPT 

Elon Musk and his team haven't shared any specific detail regarding their new TruthGPT. But, experts stated that the new TruthGPT would be able to compete against similar AI models, especially OpenAI's ChatGPT. 

This means that it could also be another AI-powered chatbot that can answer queries and do tasks requested by users. 

Based on TruthGPT's whitepaper, Musk's upcoming AI model would also rely on collected data from a broad range of credible and alternative sources. 

The main difference that Elon boasts about is TruthGPT's ability to provide unbiased answers/responses.
