Season 3 recently dropped for "Call of Duty's" active games now, but there are more offers from Activision Blizzard and Infinity Ward in this update, as it is offering a limited-time free-to-play experience for "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II."

Gamers will have the chance to access this starting April 19 and would have as much as one week to experience what MWII has to offer for all. This is a chance to get one's soldier on and head on to the battlefield equipped with their favorite loadouts, as well as their Battle Passes to grow more of the experience and finish the new map.

'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II' Free For a Limited Time Only

Call of Duty (via Twitter) has announced that it is giving players free access to "Modern Warfare II" starting April 19, and would be available until April 26. This free experience would only be available for a limited time and after next week Wednesday, it would no longer be accessible unless you purchase the game.

One of the most iconic experiences here is that gamers would get to enjoy what "Modern Warfare II" has to offer, particularly its reworked and new experiences.

Moreover, it puts a massive highlight on the return of one favorite gameplay mode, the 2v2 Gunfight which would pit gamers in a small arena with the same loadouts in a winner takes all exhibition.

Infinity Ward Only Offers a Part of the Game, Not its Entirety

However, there is a catch to this free access, as Infinity Ward and Activision Blizzard are only offering "Call of Duty" fans a chance to access 12 game modes and 10 maps from "Modern Warfare II."

Sadly, the story mode of the game will not be available for access.

The modes include Gunfight, TDM, Hardpoint, Domination, Grind, Infected, One in the Chamber, and more favorite experiences on the platform.

Additionally, Infinity Ward also offers favorite maps from MWII to access, including the likes of Shipment, Farm 18, Dome, Alley, Blacksite, and more.

'Call of Duty' and its Present Experience

"Call of Duty's" latest installation is the remake of the famed 2009 game, "Modern Warfare II," which brought the renowned title to modern gaming platforms with enhanced graphics and improvements to the gameplay. It was originally released on October 28 last year, and it was met with good reviews for the relaunch of the beloved action shooter.

The game remains an iconic release for the PlayStation and other platforms including PC, with the Sony gaming division reporting that last October saw the most downloads for the new game.

Still, gamers are left without any clues as to what game will arrive soon from Activision Blizzard and Infinity Ward, especially as there was a teaser behind the next game that would be a premium release.

"Modern Warfare II" gave the world a look back on the story of Captain John Price, Simon "Ghost" Riley, John "Soap" MacTavish, Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, and more. While Infinity Ward is letting gamers get a taste of this experience, it is not exactly on the game's story mode they will access, only focusing on its multiplayer game modes and featured maps.
