The OpenAI product ChatGPT has reached every corner of the IT industry. Since its launch in November 2022, ChatGPT has revealed a revolutionized way in how companies use AI to maintain business with their customers. Its popularity has gone so far that it eventually impresses and scares at the same time. Sergey Tokarev,  the Founding Partner of the tech company Roosh, shared what to expect from IT in the near future.

ChatGPT and its impact

ChatGPT is a conversational chatbot that brought a significant breakthrough in AI development. This AI product can learn, improve, and communicate with an interlocutor. Sergey Tokarev notes that the updated release GPT4 launched a few weeks ago is taught on the results of its predecessor GPT3. It gives instructions, represents business models, outputs codes, and draws pictures. With every iteration, AI will learn more and more.

The expectations from AI development are to replace some professions, e.g., some activities of particular professions but not the creative process. However, nobody thought it would happen so fast and grow so deeply. The outcomes of an AI product confirm the fast-growing trend of technology. In this case, there is an urgent need to modify the tests to identify AI. It will be difficult to differentiate whether you talk to a person or AI online.

The emergence of ChatGPT has caused alarming situations in some giant companies, like Google. It understands that it can lose its reputation. Sergey Tokarev banks Google shares will be falling down in the near future.

Other fast-growing fields

Along with the ChatGPT hype, there are other areas the entrepreneur mentions to develop rapidly. Tokarev names biotech comprising analytics and production. For example, BigMind took up protein synthesis, which has been a fundamental task for humanity. Many breakthroughs are to appear soon in this field.

Tokarev also notes significant improvements in big data analysis. He had an opportunity to meet scientists and talk about big data. They limit the use of AI in their work. It only helps them to avoid intermediate stages and choose the best modeling situation to experiment with.

A lot of changes are seen in communication fields, like call centers and customer support. People got used to using AI in writing emails and answering simple customer requests. Thus, 90% of the time, AI will communicate for you and probably communicate with another person's AI. This saves a lot of time.

But the worst thing is that AI will replace some creative experts. It concerns IT specialties like designers, programmers, and content writers. Only first-class professionals will stand out.

"The world will be divided into two categories: those who write algorithms and invent new ones, and those who simply use them in everyday life," Tokarev says.

Ukraine will be engaged in both categories, but Sergey Tokarev believes that Ukraine will be involved mostly in developing algorithms.
