The recent revelation of the Exynos 2500 (Dream Team) chip promises to be a chip that can rival even the current bests on the market. Featuring a 1+3+2+4 configuration containing 10 cores, this chip has exceeded all expectations of performance.

Upcoming Exynos 2500 Processor: Samsung's Dream Team Chip

As cutting-edge flagship smartphones continue to release with more powerful hardware, consumers have become increasingly demanding, leading to a competitive environment. So it's no surprise that chipmaker giant Samsung is hard at work readying its next-generation processor, the Exynos 2500, also called the Dream Team Chip.

According to the story by Notebook Check, the upcoming processor, expected to launch in two or three years, will feature a 10-core CPU with four Cortex-X5, two Cortex-A730, and four Cortex-A520 cores in a 1+3+2+4 configuration.

The "prime" core will reportedly be clocked between 3.3 and 3.5 GHz, while the remaining cores could run between 2.3 and 2.5 GHz. The processor is also expected to be manufactured on Samsung's 3GAP technology, while an RDNA GPU-a product of one of Samsung's alliances with AMD-is expected to power the Exynos 2500.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4: Possibly the Future of Premium Performance?

For consumers looking for a truly premier performance, however, their hopes may lie with the Exynos 2400-Samsung's other upcoming flagship processor that's rumored to deliver a record-breaking uplift regarding performance.

The processor uses advanced 3nm fabrication technology and many transistors to deliver the ultimate idle power and peak performance. Given that the two processors are two years away from being available, it may be a while before consumers can gauge how the chips compare to others on the market.

While it's too soon to tell which processor will come out on top, reports suggest that the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, manufactured by Nuvia, could be up to 40% faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-which could provide a glimpse at what future processors are capable of.

Expectations for the Exynos 2500 Processor

The recurring trend for processors-at least for the foreseeable future-seems to be the CPU cores, the GPU, and the fabrication technology. Companies such as Samsung and Qualcomm have spent the last few years perfecting their processors, and the Exynos 2500 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 are a sign of what's to come, as explained further in an article by Gizmo China

With high expectations on both chips, these processors' release should prove revolutionary. Fans can check out more from a tweet by OreXda, detailing the CPU configurations.

Regarding performance, users can expect a much greater leap than people anticipated from the Exynos 2400. Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor from Nuvia, the Exynos 2500 might just give it a run for its money.

Of course, as the processor is still two years away from launch, users can only speculate how it will stack up against the competition. Overall, the Exynos 2500 will be one of the most powerful CPUs.
