The upcoming drop of "Hogwarts Legacy" for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gamers is also getting a special event for its release, one that center on the previous Twitch drops to get an exclusive cosmetic in the game. This is the highly-coveted and sought-after Merlin's Cloak which can only be obtained through the streams, as it remains unaccessible via the game's store.

'Hogwarts Legacy' Twitch Drops are Returning for Merlin's Cloak

The game's Twitter account announced that there will be another "Legacy Live!" stream coming for all gamers come May 5, also the same date when Hogwarts Legacy drops for PS4 and Xbox One gamer. The team is inviting interested parties to tune in to their live stream for a chance to get the most coveted free item in the game, Merlin's Cloak.

Avalanche Software has already setup its Twitch streaming account for the upcoming Legacy Live! which will showcase a deep dive into the game, featuring different guests invited by the developers.

The upcoming live stream will feature vocalist Dune Moss and more from the Avalance and WB Games team that will give users access to the said cosmetics item in the game.

When to Expect the Twitch Drops and How to Get Item

Avalanche and WB Games claimed that the stream would begin by Friday, May 5 at 9 AM Pacific Time for the Legacy Live and Twitch Drops.

However, it is unknown if the Twitch drops would be available on all the streams on the platform, or would only be for the Legacy Live.

To get a Twitch Drop, users need to log in to their accounts on the platform and watch the stream for the required amount of time the developers set it.

Drops would be available to claim upon completion.

'Hogwarts Legacy' and its Fame

Despite the massive delays of the highly-anticipated Wizarding World experience from WB Games and Avalance Software, "Hogwarts Legacy" was able to fulfill what it aims to deliver for gamers, centering on the action RPG title before the Harry Potter franchise.

It gave gamers a chance to take up arms as a late enrollee student to the famous British school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Hogwarts, giving them a chance to customize their wands, cosmetics, houses, and more.

WB Games and Avalance Software claim that this game is the most successful release in its history, with as much as $850 million generated on its debut for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and X, and the PC platform. With its success in the market, the developers already announced a sequel that will follow Hogwarts Legacy to drop in the future.

Despite not having the famous main character of the franchise, Hogwarts Legacy proved to be a game worth buying and experiencing, to explore more of the school and its secrets during its ancient times. Now that it is dropping soon for last-gen consoles, Hogwarts Legacy is giving gamers another chance to receive a special cosmetic that would add spice to their gaming experience this coming weekend.
