Stream Deck is a well-known tool for streaming content, especially for content creators from different platforms such as Twitch.

It would be best not to confuse it with Valve's Steam Deck, a gaming console. As far as we know, it's easy to use and can perform various tasks, including sending an email to your friend and composing a new email.

The Verge editors have recently shared their favorite tricks that they use to do when using the Stream Deck. Let's find out some hacks you might haven't yet heard of before.

The popularity of Stream Deck (not Steam Deck) has finally touched down at The Verge's HQ.

According to The Verge's managing editor Alex Cranz, having a Stream Deck is not a requirement for many people. However, with this device, you can easily click the buttons to access new pages for a post.

Cranz adds that the Stream Deck has helped her customize the logo for the news site. It has also helped her set up her smart lights at home via Stream Deck Plus.

As per David Pierce, the site's editor-at-large usually uses the device to do regular tasks. Instead of instructing Siri to activate the Philips smart lights, he relies on Stream Deck to switch on the lighting.

Another exceptional feature that he enjoys with the streaming tool is Slack Status. With just a single click of the button, he could already summon "Podcast Time!"

Additionally, Piece says that when he clicks the second button, the Do Not Disturb icon pops out from his Mac. After this, all the opened apps will be shut down, except for the recording software.

Another The Verge editor, Dan Seifert, claims that the Stream Deck helps him set up a Multi Action Switch. Apart from that, the device also controls media playback and smart lights at home.

The best part for Seifer is how easy it is to arrange the windows whenever he wants. He only clicks the button to revert his browser to the original position.

Raspberry Pi Project For Wireless Stream Deck

In another report by Tom's Hardware, someone pulled out a Raspberry project featuring a Stream Deck XL and a Stream Deck MK 2. He put Pi Zero W in the device to make room for more accessories.

As such, he used a four-port USB hub and a power bank with 10,000 mAh. According to Mad Patter, the project's creator, the power bank can last for almost 24 hours, but they have not yet tested if the battery can withstand a long time for a new wireless setup.
