'Crypto 101', a new video series from Binance New Zealand, has been launched. Its goal is to inform New Zealand cryptocurrency investors and traders on the fundamentals of the industry, from Bitcoin to other cryptocurrencies.

The video series will provide a simple overview of the complex world of crypto and is set to feature local Binancians like General Manager Ben Rose.

In the first video of the series it concentrates on a beginner's introduction to cryptocurrency.

The short conclusion is that it is daunting but we are here to help, we're on a mission to equipKiwis with the information they need to trade crypto with assurance.

The second video in the series explains what bitcoin is and outlines some of its numerous advantages.

The video goes on to explore the permissionless aspect of crypto, how it is censorship resistant and why it is the cheapest and fastest way to transact money.

The third video in the series examines the uses of cryptocurrencies, which is one of the often asked questions in the field. It discusses things like what you could buy with cryptocurrencies as well as how they are used in decentralised finance, or DEFI for short. 

The video series also covers more advanced topics, such as storing crypto, hot versus cold wallets and explains the difference between web 1, web 2 and web 3.

In the coming weeks, Binance New Zealand will release more videos, covering topics such as crypto terminology explained and what is blockchain.

The former will explain some of the most commonly used crypto terminology, highlighting their meanings and uses, while the latter will provide key concepts on blockchain technology and how it works.

The educational video series is an excellent resource for New Zealand crypto newbies as well as experienced traders looking to refine their knowledge. The series will provide a foundational understanding of how crypto works and how it could become a part of one's life.

The video series is available on Binance New Zealand's YouTube channel, and interested parties can click on any video to get started.
