A regular contributor at an Apple news site posted a screenshot of an iOS 17 beta code that offers a glimpse of MagSafe accessories.

As per The Apple Post's report, the developer beta of iOS 17 has dropped an early bomb about the two unreleased MagSafe items: the Battery Pack and the Charger.

According to the leaker, the new MagSafe Charger has a model number A3088 while the MagSafe Battery Pack has a model number A2781. It simply hints that these two accessories are coming, but their launch date is not stated in the tweet.

What We Previously Expect About MagSafe Battery Pack

As of writing, we haven't yet seen any update about the MagSafe accessories' features. However, we might want to retrace the time when popular tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that the Battery Pack would boast a USB-C charging port.

According to Kuo, the said accessory is likely to be unveiled in the "foreseeable future" together with another USB C-equipped iPhone 15 model. For reference, we could only see the Lightning Port on the Battery Pack.

Is MagSafe Charger Coming with Qi2 Support?

In another story by Macrumors, even the MagSafe Charger has a rumored enhancement that fans might not expect to come. Although we won't stray from the possibility that it will have Qi2 support, Apple remains tight-lipped about the improvement.

If that is true that the MagSafe charger will be getting standard wireless charging, it can exceed its current 7.5W limit to 15W. It will be an ideal accessory for those who have non-Apple smartphones, tablets, and other devices.

The Qi2-supported chargers could potentially debut in late 2023, but still, this is just speculation. Speaking of MagSafe, it's still uncertain if we will see the Apple Watch getting the much-need MagSafe Duo charger.

When it comes to the hardware part, the MagSafe accessories barely receive updates from Apple. However, they have been consistently having firmware updates for the past years, but some users are still clueless about the purpose of the updates.

Prototyped MagSafe Charger Could Come in Four Color Variations

In late May, Tech Times reported that the rumored iPhone MagSafe Charger prototype was expected to launch not just in one standard color, which is silver, but in four colors. The other three options are Midnight, Space Gray, and Starlight.

At that time, the leaker did not give away any details about the charger's specifications. The only thing that the Apple gadget collector highlighted is the more saturated color present in this prototyped model.

To date, we haven't yet heard from anyone if the prototyped MagSafe Chargers will officially come in the coming months or years.
