The Steam Deck, one of the latest handheld consoles competing with the Nintendo Switch, is now on sale for up to $130 off for a limited period. Buyers can reportedly avail of the discounted console until July 13.

Steam Deck Spotted Selling at Massive Discounts Amid the Steam Summer Sale

According to The Verge, this comes as Valve was offering discounts on different types of Steam Deck. It also comes as part of its Steam Summer Sale, which also offers discounts on numerous games to go with the console.

The Verge reported that the Steam Deck rarely goes on sale, so buyers should take advantage of it and purchase the portable gaming PC while it sells at a discounted price. As reported, the sale by Valve sees the Steam Deck selling up to 20% off not just in the US but also internationally.

Discount Comes Ahead of the Independence Day Sale

The Verge pointed out that buyers can now purchase the handheld console starting at $359.10 for the base 64 GB model. It is a $40 discount on the console's original price and the same price listing in March when the console first went on sale.

It was also reported that buyers should opt for the more advanced version if they want to save more. Specifically, the 256 GB Steam Deck version would save buyers $79 off as it was listed selling at $449.65.

Most Discounted Variant Is the Steam Deck 512 GB Version

As for the 512 GB Steam Deck version, it was reported that the model is on sale for $130 off, placing the price at $519.20. So far, the console listed with the largest discount is the 512 GB version, although it is also the most expensive compared to other versions.

It was also highlighted that the 512 GB version was regarded as the highest-end model, with an anti-glare screen capable of reducing reflections. All three Steam Decks come with bundled carrying cases, but the 512 GB version sports a slightly more colorful logo on its case.

Buyers Can Also Purchase New Games to Go With the Steam Deck Purchase

Fans can check the three Steam Deck options to see which match their gaming requirements. It's important to note that there is a massive difference in memory, making the high-end version perform eight times better compared to the 64 GB version.

For those unfamiliar with the Steam Deck, it is a handheld console created by Valve that can play some of the most popular games. These include "The Last of Us Part I," "Spider-Man Remastered," "Spider-Man: Miles Morales," "Halo Infinite," and even "Among Us."

Valve has also discounted some of its other games for players to enjoy once they choose the right console variant. These games include "Elden Ring," "God of War," "Hi-Fi Rush," and "Slay the Spire."
