Gone are the days when different companies or managers could access TweetDeck without a fee, as Twitter recently announced that it would only be available for verified and paid subscribers next month.
That is due to the recent API changes on many social media companies, with Elon Musk's Twitter being the first to restrict access for those not paying.
Now, instead of getting access to TweetDeck whenever needed for better management of one's Twitter presence, users need to pay the monthly verification to Twitter Blue for continued use.
Twitter Announced the New TweetDeck, Only Available for Subscribers
Twitter Support announced on Monday the new version of TweetDeck, which is now available for all to use. However, it is not an open access like before, as it is currently restricted behind the company's premium features. According to the announcement, Twitter started rolling a new version of TweetDeck and said it would be a verified-only feature in 30 days.
"In 30 days, users must be Verified to access TweetDeck," the company noted. It means that users need to apply for verification and pay the $8 to $11 monthly subscription fee to Twitter Blue.
Despite Twitter's new TweetDeck version, it would not be as useful as before as users need to be verified to gain access. Moreover, the announcement also said that TweetDeck's Team functionality is temporarily unavailable and will be restored in the coming weeks.
We have just launched a new, improved version of TweetDeck. All users can continue to access their saved searches & workflows via https://t.co/2WwL3hNVR2 by selecting “Try the new TweetDeck” in the bottom left menu.

Want the TweetDeck's New Features? Subscribe to Twitter Blue
Tweeter is presenting new features from its recent TweetDeck update, and previous users will have a chance to import their previous data and columns to the new interface.
Twitter also announced that TweetDeck now supports full composer functionality, Spaces, video docking, polls, and more. For now, TweetDeck is experiencing several issues due to the recent changes to Twitter's daily limit.
Twitter and its API Changes
Earlier this February, Twitter's paywall to the premium features on the platform expanded more than Twitter Blue and its verification checkmark for users.
That is because the company has announced that it is ending the free API access for third-party apps, asking for a specific fee in different tiers for their continued use and application to their programs.
Elon Musk was considered by many a pioneer, but with his reign on Twitter, he started a different kind of social media experience that was differentiated by paywalls and free features.
Other companies soon followed after Twitter's policy change on different platforms, including Reddit, which also hid its API access behind a paid fee, and Facebook, which is also asking users to pay for social media verification.
Twitter is now in chaos after limiting the number of tweets a specific account sees per day, and this also highly affected TweetDeck as it relied on massive access to the social media's data for some functions to work. Not long after, Twitter announced the new and improved version of TweetDeck, which is now limited to paid subscribers.
