Intel has recently announced a significant partnership with ASUS, a prominent global technology solution provider, to advance the Next Unit of Compute (NUC) systems product line. 

According to the agreement, ASUS will take the reins in manufacturing, selling, and supporting the 10th to 13th generations of NUC systems while contributing to the development of future NUC designs.

Intel and Asus: NUC Systems Product Line

This strategic move by Intel aims to empower its ecosystem partners to drive innovation and growth in the NUC systems product line. 

ASUS's well-established expertise in delivering industry-leading mini PCs positions the company as an ideal candidate to take the NUC systems to new heights.

ASUS Chief Operating Officer, Joe Hsieh, expressed gratitude for Intel's confidence in the company's ability to advance the NUC systems product line. 

He noted that the collaboration could lead to expanded footprints in areas like AI and AIoT, emphasizing their commitment to delivering exceptional products and supporting NUC systems customers.

According to the proposed agreement, ASUS will receive a non-exclusive license to Intel's NUC systems product line designs, granting them the capability to manufacture and sell 10th to 13th Gen NUC systems products and explore future designs. 

The establishment of a new business unit called ASUS NUC BU will ensure continuity in product and support for Intel NUC systems customers.

Intel's Ecosystem Partners

Intel's Vice President and General Manager of Intel Client Platform Solutions, Sam Gao, highlighted the success of their NUC systems product team in spurring innovation in the ultra-small form factor market. 

Now, as they shift their focus towards enabling ecosystem partners to drive further innovation and growth, their primary objective is to ensure a smooth transition for customers and partners.

The collaboration between Intel and ASUS is poised to influence the evolution of NUC systems products, potentially fostering advancements in various domains. 

As both companies work together to advance the NUC systems product line, it remains to be seen how their partnership will impact the mini PC industry and cater to the evolving needs of consumers.

"Our NUC systems product team delivered unique products that spurred innovation in the ultra-small form factor market," Gao said in a statement.

"As we pivot our strategy to enable ecosystem partners to continue NUC systems product innovation and growth, our priority is to ensure a smooth transition for our customers and partners.
