Back in January, an analyst claimed that the iPhone 15 lineup will likely get a Wi-Fi 6E chip. However, at that time, they did not specify the model that will receive this feature.

A recent rumor suggests that the Wi-Fi 6E technology is finally coming to iPhone 15 Pro. If proven true, it will be the fastest wireless connectivity on a smartphone.

Rumor Alert: iPhone 15 Pro Will Tout Latest Wi-Fi 6E Technology
(Photo: Vựa Táo from Unsplash) A new rumor suggests that iPhone 15 Pro models are getting high-speed wireless connectivity.

Analysts from Barclays claim on a research note that the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to feature Wi-Fi 6E. They supported the early leak which came from "Unknownz21."

As for Tom O'Malley and Blayne Curtis, the Cupertino tech titan will introduce Wi-Fi 6E to both iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max variants. While it's allegedly landing on the Pro lineup, the standard, and the Plus models won't receive the same feature.

In fact, analysts say that the iPhone maker will keep the Wi-Fi 6 standard for the said models.

With the new wireless connectivity dropping on the next-gen iPhones, the advancements are anticipated to impact the data transmission efficiency of the handsets.

In short, the iPhone 15 Pro models which are allegedly dropping with more premium specs than iPhone 14 Pro, will be more suitable for gaming and other tasks which require heavy data.

This could be the breakthrough that Apple is waiting for for a long time. The Wi-Fi 6E upgrade could mean that data transmission will pave the way for more channels, thus decreasing congestion and expanding the current spectrum.

While this is not a new technology anymore since Apple already brought it to the 2023 Mac and 2022 iPad Pro, it's still a huge improvement for the iPhone family.

Pay Attention to Other iPhone 15 Rumors

Aside from the rumored Wi-Fi 6E compatibility, MacRumors wrote that the iPhone 15 Pro will allegedly adopt a USB-C port. This will allow faster transfer of data through the port.

Another hot take about the upcoming smartphones is the presence of the action button. Early rumors highlighted that Apple will add a customizable action button on iPhone 15 which was present in Apple Watch Ultra.

Tech Times, meanwhile, reported earlier this month that iPhone 15 will boast a bigger battery size compared to its predecessors. This could only mean that future buyers could expect to see minor improvements in the overall performance of the smartphone.

When it comes to the Bionic chip, another rumor points out that the Pro variant of iPhone 15 will feature an A17 processor. It will be based on TSMC's 3nm process whereas the A16 Bionic chip is built around 5nm process for iPhone 14 Pro.
