Recently, it has been rumored that Avalanche Software, a division of Warner Bros. Games that developed "Hogwarts Legacy," is already working on a project, which some believe might be "Hogwarts Legacy 2."
The rumor spread amid Warner Bros.'s search for a software engineer, even though the company does not specifically say it is for a sequel to "Hogwarts Legacy."
'Hogwarts Legacy' Sequel Possibly Under Development
The "Hogwarts Legacy" sequel may be coming sooner than later if the rumor is true. The latest job listing from Warner Bros. is speculated to be looking for its next employee that will help create the game's sequel.
According to ComicBook Gaming, the company is looking for a junior software engineer to work at the Avalanche Software studio in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In the job posting, Warner Bros. said this software engineer will "join the team behind the blockbuster open world, action RPG Hogwarts Legacy as we create what's next."
The ComicBook Gaming noted that Avalanche Software's development for future "Hogwarts Legacy" games does not come as a surprise since the Harry Potter series is one of the biggest franchises on Earth with a handful of movies, an upcoming TV series, spin-offs, and merchandise.
For now, it is still unknown when the sequel will arrive. But "Hogwarts Legacy" was first leaked in 2018 and only released five years later, so who knows how long it will take for a sequel to develop.
However, with Hogwarts Legacy being labeled as a "franchise" by Warner Bros., Avalanche Software will surely develop a sequel eventually.
Hogwarts Legacy's Success
