"Resident Evil 4" is getting a new DLC as its developer, Capcom, implements some changes to the survival horror game on Steam. This DLC is rumored to bring the Ada Wong-led Separate Ways, which updates the game for some possible new material.

'Resident Evil 4' DLC Could Potentially Come as Changes Made to the RE4 Listing

According to PC Games N, the Resident Evil 4 DLC could be coming out sooner than most gamers expected, as Capcom implemented some changes to Steam's RE4.

According to the report, the changes on the Steam listing said it would update the shooter for possible new content. With that, most gamers are already expecting the Ada Wong-led campaign Separate Ways, which takes a different approach from the game.

New Content Could be Separate Ways, Which Lets Players Follow a Storyline With Ada

It was also reported that Separate Ways was initially not part of the "Resident Evil 4" remake. However, there is also a possibility that the new changes to the Steam listing could be connected to something else: a minigame called Resident Evil 4 Mercenaries.

The original game was released in 2005, while Separate Ways was only available once players completed the main storyline. The additional story allowed players to venture as Ada Wong on a story parallel to Leon Kennedy.

'Resident Evil 4 Remake' Changes on Steam Suggest a Big Update With New Content

While Ada Wong also returned to the "Resident Evil 4" remake, so far, players could not access the Separate Ways bonus storyline. Despite this, there was still a possibility of the storyline reportedly coming sometime later.

As also discussed in Game Rant, it was also revealed that the new activity on the Steam backend for the title of "Resident Evil 4" remake suggests that there could be a big update to the popular horror survival game. On August 7, the changes were made to the Steam listing for the "Resident Evil 4" remake.

Changes Made in re_mas_03 and qa_mas_03, Which Could Mean 'Master' and 'Quality Assurance'

PC Games N highlighted how the changes were not dissimilar to what happened with CSGO ahead of its announcement and the limited Counter-Strike 2 test. The new change reportedly comes with two major "depots" inside the "re_mas_03" and "qa_mas_03" "Resident Evil 4" Stream listing.

The publication also speculated how the "re_mas_03" could represent "Resident Evil master" and connect to the game, and comes as "qa_mas_03" would also relate to "quality assurance."

Other Possibility Is Change Could Mean the Mercenaries Minigame

That could mean a demo or test for new content for the Resident Evil 4 remaster could be coming soon. The signals pointing toward the potential Separate Ways storyline might follow only if players finish the "Resident Evil 4" remake game.

Capcom could also be adding the Mercenaries minigame, which had already been released as a free DLC.
