Rockstar Games has ended the rumors swirling around the "Red Dead Redemption" remake/remaster as it announced the official release date of the game on Nintendo Switch and PS4.

According to the New York-based game developer, it's actually a "conversion," a merely re-released game from one console to a newer one.

Rockstar Games has finally shattered the rumors which suggest that "Red Dead Redemption" is coming in a remastered version. While this is far-fetched from what actually happened, the gaming studio touts that it will soon be available on both PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

According to The Verge, "Red Dead Redemption" will allow PS5 backward compatibility so PlayStation gamers won't have a problem saving their in-game progress if they switch consoles.

Before the game arrived on two other platforms, it was first released on PS3 and Xbox 360. For Switch and PlayStation users, you can snag "Red Dead Redemption" at $49.999.

The physical releases of the game are expected to be dropping on October 13. Aside from English, the game will support Latin American Spanish, simplified and traditional Chinese, Russian, Brazilian, Polish, Portuguese, and Korean.

Expect to See a Zombie-Packed Adventure With 'Undead Nightmare'

With Rockstar reviving the Western classic adventure on "Red Dead Redemption," it's also resurrecting a new mode that is packed with the main game.

The "Undead Nightmare" is also included in the $50 game. The expansion will allow you to brawl with flesh-eating humans as you go along in your journey.

As Marston, you can brave the deep deserts and fields to search for the most interesting missions in the land. Of course, that won't be easy because your breakfast will be a bullet to a zombie's body.

Fans Disappointed Over Lack of PC Version

In another story by IGN, some fans found out that while the "Red Dead Redemption" conversion will grace the Switch and PS4 consoles, it did not open its line to PC users.

The publication reports that the lack of a PC version has disappointed a lot of "RDR" fans who are hoping to play it on Windows.

Because Rockstar has officially put the final nail in the coffin for "Red Dead Redemption" rumors, we might not see any hype about the game remake/remaster in the coming days or weeks.

Of course, this is just speculation since we never know if some leakers have secret information under their sleeves. The recent port is exciting news for Switch and PS4 gamers, but it seems "meh" for those who are badly hoping to see a "Red Dead Redemption 2" remake.

For the "RDR 2" to finally hit the shelves, fans might have to wait for years before they see it. This is a dream come true for the true-blue "Red Redemption" players. For now, let's allow the remake hype to cool down.
