Famed smartphone developer, OnePlus, will introduce the Ace 2 Pro to the world on Monday, August 14. One of its most impressive features is the so-called "Rain Water Touch," which centers on a new display technology.

With this tech, OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will allow users to accurately control their smartphone despite having wet hands or a wet screen.

This is a significant feature should it accurately follow every touch or scroll on the smartphone, considering that most display tech is not that responsive when the screen is wet.

OnePlus Ace 2 Pro Features 'Rain Water Touch' for All Seasons

OnePlus China president Li JieLouis has recently posted a video on Weibo about the new technology which Ace 2 Pro is set to bring to the world.

The video shows a side-by-side comparison with the iPhone 14 Pro, both under pouring rain, and how the Ace 2 Pro can obey commands and touch without problems despite its wet screen.

This is called the "Rain Water Touch" (direct Chinese translation) technology, which allows the user to enjoy using the device despite the condition.

Despite the evident droplets on the screen, it demonstrated the device's capabilities to run different commands like typing, scrolling, or swiping on the device.

Wet Hands, Rain Water on the Screen Is Not a Problem

According to Android Central, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro showed flawless performance despite the rainy condition, whereas the iPhone 14 Pro struggled in the situation.

This new feature shows how OnePlus developed its new screen technology, which would not be bothered if the user's hands are wet or the screen is.

It also shows that users can access their phone immediately in different situations, like coming from a swim or after washing one's hands or the dishes. Using the touch screen would not be a problem.

OnePlus's Smartphone Developments

OnePlus may be a company from China, but it delivers top-notch devices which have been regarded as flagship killers of other brands, giving users an incomparable Android smartphone experience. Apart from its top-of-the-line smartphones, OnePlus has the famed Ace series, which is getting a successor this year with the Ace 2.

Despite the Ace 2 not being its flagship, OnePlus delivers an impressive Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ for the device, capable of handling massive processes, alongside 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

With its 5,000 mAh battery capacity, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G SA/NSA, and dual 4G VoLTE, it is designed to pack the power in this mid-range smartphone.

Flagship or not, OnePlus truly outdone itself in its new smartphone releases, with the Ace 2 and Ace 2 Pro shaping up to be a worthy consideration against top brands worldwide.

The "Rain Water Touch" technology will seem to bring a reliable screen despite the weather or after engaging in activities that no longer need to wait for the hands or device to dry up.
