Playing "Starfield" is no joke at all for gamers who know how demanding is this Bethesda game when it comes to graphics. Because it's expected to deliver massive and high-quality performance, it's also expected that downloading it won't be easy.

Bethesda has already revealed the file size of the upcoming title which will force you to free up some space for your console.

Ahead of its launch on Sep. 6, Bethesda has finally revealed the file size of the upcoming "Starfield" game.

Back in the day, the majority of the games were downloadable at a manageable size. Some don't exceed 20GB while others are perfect for small-sized drives at 500 MB or almost 1 GB.

However, as developers revolutionize their skills in creating graphics-heavy games, there's also a repercussion that players will bear: the big file size of the game.

Ahead of "Starfield's" debut on Sep. 6, Kotaku reports that Bethesda has shared some information about its file size.

According to the gaming studio, you need to get ready to clear your disk space if you're eager to play this game next month.

For the Standard Edition of "Starfield," you will need to keep at least 100.19GB for your Xbox Series X|S. The file size is bigger in Premium Edition since the install size can reach up to 117.07 GB.

If you think that Xbox users are having a hard time enduring the hundred-gigabyte size of "Starfield," wait until you hear the file size for PC and Steam.

Eurogamer has confirmed that you will need a whopping 139.84 GB just to install this space-themed role-playing game (RPG). That's a lot if you will ask every computer gamer who is preserving space for other programs on their PCs.

With that being said, "Starfield" is regarded to be one of the biggest installments in the Xbox Series X consoles. We're talking about the regular edition of the game which means no DLC or updates are involved.

After "Starfield," we have "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" at 103 GB followed by "Microsoft Flight Simulator" and "Halo Infinite" at 102 GB and 97 GB, respectively.

How to Efficiently Download 'Starfield' If You Really Want it

If you badly need to play "Starfield" at its launch, then you need to sacrifice something so your disk space can keep up with its file size.

One important tip you can do is to delete your older games. Say goodbye to outdated titles that you no longer play or those which already discontinued DLC updates.

Another technique you can pull off so you can download "Starfield" on your Xbox or PC is simply buying a powerful hard drive and SSD.

There are so many options in the market, but the most reliable hard drives that we can recommend to you are the WD Black C50 and Seagate Xbox Storage Expansion Card.

It's such a shame that the Xbox Series X advertises that it has 1TB of storage, yet this is not entirely true. The thing is, you can only use 800GB of operational storage, per Techradar. The remaining 200GB is being consumed by pre-installed programs and OS on your console.
