Meta's Quest 3 headset is announced to be coming this fall, but ahead of its launch, a new clip of it has been making rounds online.

The unofficial unboxing video is not new anymore to the company. Leakers also spread an unauthorized unboxing of the Quest Pro in 2022.

What could we expect from Quest 3 after the alleged pre-launch video?

Ahead of Meta Quest 3's release this fall, a leaked unboxing video of the headset has surprised the fans this early.

While it's somewhat surprising to some people that Meta's upcoming headset has been leaked, this is an isolated case for Quest wearable. The Pro version was also revealed in an unboxing video a year ago.

According to a report by Road to VR, X user "VR Panda.Alex from CHN" saved the video before the original poster removed it.

From the looks of it, the alleged Quest 3 from the unboxing clip appears to feature similar packaging to its predecessor. However, the noticeable difference is their sizes. It also appears that there are no rings in the new Touch Plus controllers.

Furthermore, the video only showed a small box that contained the leaflets and the batteries, as well as the controllers, and headsets. This could hint that the FCC-approved charging dock might be sold separately since it's not included in the package.

Up to now, Meta has not yet announced the specifications and features of the Quest 3 headset, yet it's always expected to have a bigger storage or newer RAM.

Eye Relief Adjustment Tipped to Be Coming

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said at that time that the next standalone headset would be the company's "first mainstream headset with high-res color mixed reality."

The unofficial unboxing video also revealed an instruction where users can adjust the lenses of the Quest 3 away from their eyes.

If that's the case, then "eye relief adjustment" will be a thing for Meta's wearable. The same feature was also available in HTC Vive, Valve Index, and PlayStation VR headsets.

This assumption is supported by a claim on Twitter that the Quest firmware will officially return in the Quest 3.

How Much is Meta's Quest 3 Headset?

Although no exact date is given for the official launch of Quest 3, this could be announced on September 27 at the time of the Connect conference.

According to UploadVR, the only confirmed features so far are the 40% thinner visor thanks to pancake lenses. Aside from that, its GPU is expected to be more powerful than Quest 2's GPU.

Meta also said that the base model will have 128GB storage. All in all, the Quest 3 will carry a price tag of $500 upon its launch next month.

With everything becoming clearer about the headset, it's only up to Meta to unveil the true power of Quest 3 in front of the crowd.
