The FalconFrames Wearable

Traditionally, athletic training is centered on physical fitness, nutrition, and psychological aspects. However, recent research cited by the company has spotlighted the pivotal role of vision in sports performance.

With over 80% of sports input being visual, impeccable dynamic vision skills and neuro-visual processing are vital for elite athletes.

For tennis players, this means absorbing, analyzing, and responding to complex visual cues such as ball flight, net and line distances, opponent positioning, and shot trajectory - all in fractions of a second.

It demands the harmonious coordination of around 20 neuro-visual skills, ranging from depth perception to peripheral vision. The FalconFrames wearable tech by OcuRay leverages cutting-edge light field technology to address these neuro-visual skills.

It features built-in gaze-tracking that scrutinizes eye movements and utilizes a dynamic linear light field array with retina-tracking guide lights. These real-time cues direct athletes' visual focus, enhancing their responsiveness and precision.

Dr. Anne Reuter, a neuro-optometrist specializing in neuro-cognitive and athletic vision performance and JMTA's official sports vision doctor, affirmed the significant impact of vision skills on athletic performance.

She expressed enthusiasm for FalconFrames, highlighting its potential to unlock new possibilities for athletes of varying skill levels.

"As a college student and competitive soccer player, I went through a vision training program, so I know from first-hand experience how much of a difference great vision skills make to a person's athletic as well as school and work performance," Reuter noted.

"Now that I am coaching people myself to optimize their vision, I appreciate that FalconFrames will unlock a whole new set of possibilities for athletes of all skill levels. It is just the perfect training device," she added.

Complement Athletes

FalconFrames is designed to complement athletes seamlessly, delivering guidance without distractions. With a smartphone app, the wearable interfaces provide access to preset training routines with escalating challenges, goal setting, progress tracking, performance comparison, and coach-guided training.

According to the company's press release, integration with health and wellness apps is also possible. Raul Mihali, President and CEO of Evolution Optiks, acknowledged the significance of addressing the connection between eyes, brain, and body in athlete training.

He highlighted the technology's potential to elevate athletic performance by bridging this gap.

"We are delighted to partner with such a renowned and experienced sports academy. This is a major new chapter in training for just about any athlete or sport. We have spoken with trainers and pro athletes in tennis, soccer, and racing, and it was always the same story: The physical condition of an athlete can be trained to perfection, but that is simply not enough," Mihali said

"The connection between eyes, brain and body is the missing link, and we are developing FalconFrames precisely for that," he added.
