The latest development of DoorDash is leveraging its customer service with AI, offering a new way to further streamline the ordering process on the platform.
DoorDash promises that this AI integration will help increase revenue and maintain high-quality customer experiences, with the artificial intelligence helping work with a specific restaurant in handling queries, concerns, and orders.
"Customers expect more from restaurateurs, and in return, restaurateurs expect even more technology-forward solutions from us - including support for phone channels to meet customers where they're ordering," said Rajat Shroff, Head of Product and Design at DoorDash.

DoorDash would still have live agents ready to accommodate users at any time for further support, especially when talking with AI is not working out.
According to The Verge, the AI would not only take one's orders for takeout and delivery, but DoorDash also developed it to suggest recommendations and upsell customers with other specials to come along with their orders.
