Instagram is reportedly adding a new feature that would allow users to make additional content from things already on the platform. The upcoming feature will reportedly make it easier for users to share notable comments and turn them into "Stories" to help ramp up content production.

Instagram Upcoming Feature Would Allow Users to Share Comments in Their Stories

According to News 18, Instagram is working on new features for the popular photo and video-sharing platform. Meta owns the platform and has been a popular place for people wanting to share new content, especially in its Stories.

Instagram would soon be providing creators with a feature that would allow users to share comments on their Stories. According to Tech Crunch, these include comments on either their shared posts or Reels.

It would allow users to create more content from comments on their posts or Reels, making it a completely new post or Stories. According to Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, the company wanted to help creators highlight those interesting comments.

Instagram Users Can Create New Posts or Videos That Can be Added to Their Stories

The announcement was made in a post on the "IG updates" channel, with the head of Instagram saying they were trying something new that would allow people with public accounts to easily create new posts or videos from "important or interesting comments."

It was also reported that creators would be able to participate in a particular test that allows them to highlight a comment by swiping it. After that, the users could see an "Add to story icon," which can be uploaded to the user's feed.

Other Upcoming Features Include the Creation of Audio Notes to Share with Friends

The new post would allow users to see the comment appearing along with the original post. So far, Adam Mosseri has not announced when this feature will be available for everyone or the number of people who will have access to it.

It was also reported that Instagram is working on a feature that would allow users to create audio notes that can also be shared with their friends, according to Latestly. However, the head of Instagram said on his broadcast channel that they "haven't started testing anything publicly yet."

Audio Notes Will Allow Users to Have Posts With Up to 60 Characters

However, Mosseri also noted that the company is working on providing users with the ability for users to create audio notes. These audio notes could then be shared with friends within the platform.

Notes was a feature released in December 2022 that allowed users to share thoughts on the platform. Users were also able to see what their friends were doing, and when Meta introduced this feature, it allowed users to create short posts that would run up to a maximum of 60 characters with the option of text and emojis.
