The specifications of Tecno Phantom V Flip has been revealed ahead of launch as the company tries to rival some of the most popular foldable phones in the market. These include some of the latest foldable smartphones like the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Tecno Phantom V Flip to Compete With the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5
According to GSM Arena, Tecno previously released the Phantom V Fold at the start of the year. It was designed to compete directly with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold smartphones sold outside of China.
The new Tecno Phantom V Flip has been released to compete with the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and other devices like the Moto Razer 40. Both smartphones are vertically folding types.
Ahead of its launch, the Tecno Phantom V Flip appeared on the Google Play Console, which showed different specs of the upcoming device. It comes with certain details, including the smartphone's RAM, chipset, and display resolution.
Tecno Phantom V Flip With an Android 13 Operating System
One of the most notable specs of the smartphone is its RAM, which is listed as functioning from 7.8 to 7.9 GB. Aside from this, its operating system runs on the Android 13 version, as Gizmo China reported, with an ABI of arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, and the armeabi.
As for its System-on-Chip (SoC), the Tecno Phantom Flip was reportedly listed as a Mediatek MT6893Z/CZA smartphone. As for its CPU, there could be multiple ones on the smartphone, starting with the ARM Cortex-A78, capable of running at 3,000 MHz.
The Vertical Screen Size Comes at 1080 x 2640
As for other CPUs, the device packs 4x ARM Cortex-A78, which runs at 2600 MHz, and the 4x ARM Cortex-A55, which runs at 2000 MHz. Another device inclusion is its 9x ARM Mali G77 GPU, which runs at 805 MHz.
The smartphone would likely have a 6.9" diagonal of the unfolded display. The screen size was listed at 1080 x 2640 with a screen density (DPI) of 480 (xxhdpi).

Tecno Phantom V Flip Smartphone Comes With an OLED Screen and Different Cameras
As also highlighted by Price Baba, other inclusions in the Tecno Phantom V Flip smartphone include the OpenGL ES version, which was listed as 3.2, and the Vulkan version listed as 1.1.0 (L1). As for the product specification, the smartphone was reportedly listed at AD11-GL.
Aside from what is listed on Google Play, previous reports talked about how the device comes with a 1.39" OLED screen, a camera ring at the back, a massive 64 MP main lens, and a 13 MP ultra-wide shooter.
Other additions to the V Flip smartphone include its battery, which reportedly sits at 3,900mAh and runs up to 45W charging. The upcoming offering also has Bluetooth SIG and FCC certifications, as the Google Play Console listing reveals few details.
The Tecno Phantom V Flip has already appeared in leaked renders and a hands-on image in the past weeks, giving us a look at the clamshell foldable phone.
