The Huawei Mate 60 series recently launched and although it didn't quite come out with a bang, there are two variants that are reportedly already selling. While the units are only sold in China, a recent leak revealed how much they cost.

Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ Comes with Two Memory Versions with Leak Revealing Potential Price

According to the story by GSM Arena, another edition was added to the Huawei Mate 60 series, the Huawei Mate 60 Pro+. As the new device launches, its memory versions have been revealed along with its supposed price.

It was noted that the phone would come with two storage options and would pack 16 GB of RAM. The two options listed in the leak include the 512 GB version and the 1 TB version, as seen on a screenshot posted on Weibo.

However, the starting price for the devices is said to be around CNY 8,999, which in USD would be equal to $1,231 when converted. It was noted that the new Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ could be considered what was described as the "mightiest phone" in the series.

Another Report Says the Device Could Cost Close to $1,100

Another report by Playful Droid notes that the smartphone could cost CNY 7,999, which would equal $1,092 or CNY 8,999. So far, no official confirmation has been given regarding how much the smartphone costs.

This comes as the smartphone comes with its class-leading quad-cam setup located at its back as well as its halo island. Aside from that, the device will ditch the Porsche Design phone as the company wants to launch another type of design.

The new design that Huawei is trying to launch is called the RS Ultimate Design variant. This would be a unique type of design but the downside of this would be that buyers would need to pay more to avail this design variant.

Changes in the Mate 60 Pro+ and the Mate 50 Pro

The reason why the new design costs more is also because of how it relies on more premium materials. However, this might not always be beneficial for some buyers since there are a lot of people who just cover their phones with a smartphone case, hiding the natural design of the phone.

It was noted that the price isn't as shocking especially considering that the device is a flagship version of the Mate 60 series. The previous Mate 50 Pro version also sold for £1,200 in the UK. When it came to Continental Europe, the device was sold at €1,200.

It was also revealed that when the Mate 50 Pro launched, it had that price despite having lower specs compared to the supposed Huawei Mate 60 Pro+. However, the previous phone didn't have the Plus variant.

The Mate 50 Pro launched with just 8 GB of RAM while also packing 256 GB of storage. It was noted that the device was also expandable by 256 GB with the help of an NM card. So far, no official information has been released as to whether Huawei will be releasing the Mate 60 Pro+ outside of China.
