Artificial intelligence has been said to potentially replace many types of jobs in the market, especially when it comes to creating content. A new AI tool could revolutionize the news industry as it aims to effectively create content from updates, which is something journalists do.

Infobot Launches Industry-Changing AI Tool that Creates News Content by Synthesizing Updates

According to the story by Axios, there are many AI businesses that have popped up recently but one of them specifically stood out when it came to the Demo Day presentations of Y Combinator. The specific startup that really caught people's attention was Infobot, which was said to perform as an AI-generated news network.

During the Y Combinator Demo Day, Infobot specifically stood out due to its artificial intelligence capabilities that are aimed toward news content production. The article noted that the reason why this is important is to understand which parts of news content would be affected or which news jobs would be replaced.

It was noted that the Infobot comes with a unique concept, which is to use AI in order to synthesize information that is already publicly available. This means getting direct content from local government updates, which a lot of the news revolves on.

The Difference When It Comes to Human Journalists and AI When It Comes to Creating News

The article highlighted that although human journalists are still capable of creating more complex reporting when it comes to writing updates discovering non-public information and even conducting interviews, Infobot comes with a different approach.

As for Infobot, it uses AI systems to create updates on, for example, new bills passed or announcements given by local governments. This would help automate update creation of news pieces that directly stem from updates.

The Website Uses 'Channels' for Its AI to Track Certain Topics

It was also noted that its website allows users to create "channels" that come with their own specific topics or allow users to create their own custom topics. The channels focus on specific topics, with the AI producing content that's only relevant to their specific topics.

Despite its revolutionary approach when it comes to news, Infobot notes that it won't be replacing newspapers. Instead, they want to expand the market when it comes to news through the help of AI.

According to Justin Harvey, the co-founder, and CEO of Infobot, in an email to Axios, it was noted that they want to use AI in order to cover hyper-niche topics, adding that their service remains in the early stages as the company is still going through experimentation.

The AI Tool Aims to Generate Revenue in the Future

It was also noted that it plans to generate revenue in the future through a subscription model, sharing how the use of its service has evolved. The CEO shared that initially, a lot of users used their service in order to track investments.

It was noted that the types of users it once had have evolved as they now serve more customers, including business executives, startup founders, and even community leaders.
