AOC gaming has been known for multiple monitors but recently, it has announced a new portable display that boasts a 144 Hz refresh rate among other specs. The full-HD IPS panel is designed for users to take their gaming anywhere.
AOC Gaming 16G3 Portable Display Monitor Comes with a 144 Hz Refresh Rate
While many people are used to monitors being used for personal computers, some people struggle when it comes to portable gaming especially if their main computer is a laptop. While it might've been hard for laptop owners to take full-sized monitors around, these portable monitors make it easier for users to take extended displays wherever they go.
According to the story by Club 386, AOC Gaming has just recently announced that it will be releasing the 16G3 portable display monitor. This particular screen comes with a 144 Hz refresh rate as well as a USB Type-C connectivity packed inside.
The screen comes with a slim 11.5mm chassis with the 16G3 being designed for gamers that need a fast as well as easily transportable monitor. It was noted that the monitor is capable of showing content coming from laptops or even consoles without a drop in quality.
The 15.6-Inch Full-HD IPS Panel Display Comes with a Fast 4ms Response Time
This would mean players can hook up the monitor to almost any device around with the help of the 15.6-inch full-HD IPS panel, as noted in an article by IF Design. The display is capable of reaching a 144 Hz refresh rate while also giving users a fast 4ms response time with the enabled overdrive mode.
It was noted that the portable screen display comes with 250 nits of brightness making it suitable for indoor use with a contrast of 1000:1. According to Guru 3D, the monitor reportedly comes with the typical IPS specs while weighing just 1.1kg and being 11.5mm thick.
The portable monitor, the 16G3, comes with colors of black and red with adaptive-sync technology in order to get rid of screen tearing. The screen comes in a small size that fits inside any type of laptop bag.

50 x 50mm VESA Mount Ensures the Portable Screen Stays in Place
It was noted that the 16G3 can be used in either portrait or landscape mode due to its stand, which is also easy to switch when rotating the screen. This is because of the auto-pivot function making it easier for users to achieve their desired portable screen.
It was also noted that the 50 x 50mm VESA mount ensures the portable screen stays in place when users adjust it. It was noted that AOC also offers different types of connectivity like its one micro-HDMI port which can be used for consoles or older types of machines.
There is also one USB Type-C that comes with the DisplayPort Alt Mode as well as power delivery for the newer types of laptops. Another Type-C port can also be used with a monitor through its AC adaptor.
The portable laptop is expected to be released in mid-September for an MSRP of £249.99.
