As GSM Arena spotted via Reddit, the upcoming Sony handset is coming with the most sustainable packaging in the world.
Upon looking at the picture circulating on r/SonyXperia, you will see an image of an egg tray which appears to be too good to be true.

"This is a self-declared rumor made using an egg tray and past Xperia launches. Some of these images are from the teaser for the Xperia Pro-I. The Exmor logo is incorrect here since the new Exmor T image sensor will most likely be used on the Mark 6 series. Take this with the lightest grain of salt," one Redditor says.
Another commenter writes that the egg tray packaging is featured so consumers can portray Sony as an "environment-friendly" company.
Most people questioned the identity of the source since seeing an egg tray next to the Sony Xperia 1 V1 is ridiculous to imagine.
From the looks of it, another person says that the rumored packaging image is fake. He adds that it's likely a photoshopped image when you zoom it in. The logo does not match the shade that the egg carton has.
The rumor also claims that the Xperia 1 V1 will be released at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in late February 2024.

Sony Xperia 1 V1 Will Have Massive Camera Upgrade

According to the unknown source, the Xperia 1 V1 will feature a zoom camera that allows up to 6x zoom. It will arrive with a large sensor.
On top of that, the camera is rumored to have Clear Image Zoom courtesy of Sony's technology.
If that is true, we could potentially see this smartphone in a sustainable package—an old tradition in the company.
